In your ocean, I’m ankle deep
I feel the waves crashin’ on my feetIt’s like I know where I need to be
But I can’t figure out, yeah I can’t figure out
Just how much air I will need to breathe
When your tide rushes over me
There’s only one way to figure out
Will ya let me drown, will ya let me drown
I discovered NEEDTOBREATHE pretty late. In their revival stage, if you will, with their album Rivers in the Wasteland. And, I fell in love. Who wouldn’t?! Often when I’m listening I pause recognizing that they write some of the most beautiful love songs.
From my previous post, you know that I am jamming out to their latest album, H A R D L O V E. Still, their earlier tunes still resonate, so I had to share here. Press play on the live version of “Something Beautiful” (2009) and you will get a taste of what it’s like at their live show. Don’t fool yourself, though. You’ve got to get there in person.
Let me know what you think of this tune below.
