There’s a look out point that I drive past almost everyday. Often, someone is relaxing atop the graffitied rock with eyes focused over the Potomac River. It’s certainly intriguing.
I wonder how I, too, can get there.
Thanks to my friend, G, this query was answered quickly: “Dangerous Cliff over Potomac”. Yup, that must be it. However, despite its apparent danger, it is quite accessible. Once there and taking on a familiar pose of reflection, I suddenly notice that the whole of Georgetown is removed from this pocket. It’s completely serene.
Only if I lift my eyes so slightly to catch the traffic crossing the bridge would I notice that the incessant jam of vehicles are still raging. Many have made their mark here; clearly. Now, I’ve made mine.
